Some advancements of going to camp is you get to try something new and you get to over come you fears. You get to have different experiences and might even be able to try different foods. You can take away skiing and snow boarding skills and life skills. You can take away different friendships and you can have a lot of fun while doing all of it. You can learn swimming skills, for when we go swimming. You can learn what skiing and snowboarding is really all about, it's about being respectful and honest.
ReplyDeleteI think an advantage is that you will be learning and having fun. I think that some people might even find that they are really good at skiing or snowboarding. Also I think that we will learn not only how ski or snowboard you will also learn how to be independent. Another advantage is that we could make friends with the public or maybe if there is another school we could make friends with them.

ReplyDeleteand I think that the advantages of going to camp are that we get to be together and have an amazing time. Also you get to try something new or that you don't do very often. Some of the values and skills that we are going to learn are, to be respectful and kind. We also need to have a good positive mindset.
What I know is that everyone will learn to Ski and Snowboard! You get to take the advantages of spending time with your friends and you get to learn new things. Also you get to travel with your best friends or your friends which will be my all time favourite!! I really want to make the most of camp because I know that everyone will have a great time learning, having fun and most of all getting to spend 3 days with your friends and family!

ReplyDeleteI think there are heaps of advantages from can you get to learn how to ski and snowboard you can learn great abilities by going onto snow and learning how to survive it also teaches you how to remember to keep warm clothes and make sure that you're not cold. You also get to have a lot of time with your friends and you get to have a nice vacation you can learn different things about staying and hot temperatures but you might learn some more things about going on cold temperatures.another good thing about camping is that you don't have to learn your mind but you get to learn physically and you also get to have some things problem so you can sort yourself.

I will also learn to follow a strict routine. I will also have fun with friends I have now, and new friends that I will make.
ReplyDeleteThe advantages of going away to camp is we will be able to make stonger friendsips as we need our friends for support. We can also show that our school Waikowhai Primary is the best at respect when it comes to going out of school. The skills that we will learn are being able to stay away from our parents even though I can do that it doesn't mean my friends can so I can be there to help them. We will also learn to ski and snowboard which is a big thing becuase not many people know how to ski and snowboard. Lastly the best part about camp is the experiancewe get to go places a lot of people haven't. Not many people have been to touch the snow but with our school camp everyone gets to and we can make snow people and have snowball fights. Those resons are why I love camp.

Like in the real world you won't have your mum and dad to be their in your every step you will just have yourself another skill is teamwork. Teamwork is good because when your older you will have to work together in jobs. My third reason is that you can learn what it is like togo to the snow so if you gat a lot older if you move somewhere like canada or england it is not such a big shock. My last reason is you need to know how to perservere like your not gonna get snowoarding or skiing just like that.

ReplyDeleteI think for me the advantages of going away to camp will be exciting. We will get to see things we haven't seen before and we usually haven't seen. I will learn more about the mountain and about things outside of the city. Another advantage is we get to do things that we haven't done before to. We get to stay up until 10:00pm. I will learn how to wake up more early. I also think that it will be good for me because I get to learn something new.

I think I will learn a lot of thing at camp and have lot's of fun at the same time!
ReplyDeleteI think that I am looking forward to go to camp because I can adventure more but I am nervous because I have never went to camp and it is the first time that I am going to be so far from my Family and I am going to be in Mt Ruapehu for 3 days. I hope that I have a great time on Mt Ruapehu and to have fun and make new friends.

Hi this is Aamena, I have never been camp but I would rather do SKYING because I have never done skiing or snowboarding but I want to do skying. That's because I read a book about skiing and they hold those sticks to ski on the snow and that is cool so that is why I would like to ski.
ReplyDeleteIn my point of view, the advantages would be, for me, making new friends and during camp, we could make our relationship with other friends stronger. Another pro for me would be adapting to a different environment so that snow can be ideal if I go to a country like Canada, where it snows .

ReplyDeleteCamp for those who don't know what camp is it is like when you go away some where new and stay at a cabin where you sleep. You get to do fun activity's like going on bush walks wood crafts boat rides and much more. Going on camp there are so many different advantages. You can learn how to tie a not and learn how to go skiing/snowboarding it all depends on what type of camp. At our school we are going to Mt Ruapehu to learn how to ski or snowboard. All so when you are on camp you will be away from your parents. When you go to camp friends are very important to have they can keep you company,get you back up when you are in the dump and make even the most boring things fun. In my point of view, I think that the advantages for us are learning to become independent, and also not having to do school work while you are with your friends and teachers. We will be able to ski /snowboard, and we will have to face our fears when doing something we don't know how to do. We also might learn some new swimming skills. Another advantage is that you will be able to visit and do activities in multiple places, which is exiting.

Also if you are coming alone without your parents you would be learning how to take care of yourself. Some advantages of going to camp are also being with your friends in a very exciting place where you have or have not been before. You will have a lot of fun with your friends playing in the snow. You would be getting an actual experience of being away from home and you would understand what it feels like. You would be learning how to share in a way because you are going to sharing a room with other people. Some that aren't even your friends. You will be learning how to cooperate and work with many other people. You will have to have perseverance and not give up if you fall when you ski or anywhere for that matter of fact.You will be learning many new things and many old things but you won'r stand alone in any of them. ReplyDeleteI think going to camp is a good thing to do because you have heaps of advantages. some of the advantages of going to camp is that we get driven there by bus because the company is so kind. Also I think another advantages of going to camp is that it is a good experience because if you haven't skied of snowboarded or even not been camping before I think camp would be a great chose for children to do.

We are going to learn how to ski and snowboard on mt ruapahu from the instructers up there. We are also going to learn how to wake up early because we are going to wake up at 6:30. We are going to how to clean up after our self's and go sleep early to.
ReplyDeleteThe advantages of going to camp are, Having a good behaviour like listening to your parent teacher and cleaning up after you eat also making your bed and all sorts of those things. The values are, Learning to have patience, Looking after your self and cleaning yourself. You should have good behaviour because if the staff at Mt Ruapehu see your bad behaviour the others in the school that will be going to camp won't be able to because you have set a bad example and you will ruin it for all the others. You should help others if they fall over and hurt themselves badly. If an adult or child falls over check in with them to see if there ok. I'm going to learn how to snowboard and have patience. We should set a good behaviour when we go to camp for the others !

I think one of the advantages of going to camp is that you get to go around to places you might have never been like for example we are going to hamilton gardens and some people might have never been there before. One of the values I think we are going to learn when we go to camp is working individually. I think this because we are doing a a photo hunt and we need to learn how to work alone. Another one is teamwork we may need team work on the hunt because they may have found something you haven't and you found something they haven't you can give each other clues. One of the most important ones I think we have to learn is patience, patience because we need to be patient and keep trying when we go to the snow and ski or snowboard we won't be able to get it straight away but we you will get the hang of it soon.

In my mind I think Camp is going t be a great experience for us and we will have to treat each other the way we want to be treated and respect everyone no matter where we are. Another advantage is that we get to stop off at different activities on our way to the Mountain and on the way back. Mount Ruapeha is a very big mountain so we have a great camp organised for us.

Staying control where you can be seen and also staying on the write level of what you are doing. Respecting other people on the mountain as well as looking in front and the back of you making sure you are safe as well as others. Not going out of bounds or far far away from your leader. Making sure you choose the right choices and don't loose what you need. You could also see what skills you can do and ones you could practice on the mountain. You could also tell the adult where about you are going to see if its safe for you to enter.

ReplyDeleteI think an advantage of going on camp is that you are able to know how long you can be away from your parents because when you are older you will have to be away from your parents for a long time. Another good thing is that you will have to be able to remember the stuf you need for the day without reminders from adults. My third reason is that you will have to learn to be patience because you arent going to be good at skiing or snowboarding straight away. My final reason is that you will have to manage small problems that you would have managed for you by someone else.

I think camp would be good for learning in a different way instead of being inside on our Chromebooks. I also think camp would be good we can get some exercise and try something new. And it would be good to get away from home and just have fun and play with your friends. Also you might not be with your friends there so you can make new friends. you can also see tones of cool and different things and you have a new experience for the people that have never been to the snow.and some people might have been to the snow but have never gone skiing.

This is the longest I have been away from my mum, and when I go on other camps I am only there for 2 days. The advantages are that you will learn how to ski. When its your first time skiing or snowboarding you will get scared but you will get used to it.

ReplyDeleteIts going to be hard to learn stuff, but I am going to learn how to ski and how to stop myself at all times. Its going to be fun when seeing the mountain and going on the gondola ride to the top. An advantage is that you get to ski and snowboard for the first time. You get to spend time with friends and some time playing games. You also have some time exploring around the camp and see new things. Some you will experience is safety,how important it is to stop when skiing, and most of all to respect people around you even if you don't know them. That is what I think!

ReplyDeleteI think that the advantages of going to camp are that we don't have to do reading, writing, maths, inquiry and other school subjects on the mountain. We have heaps of fun like you would do in your own time when school is finished for the day. We get to ski, snowboard, have snowball fights, going tobogganing and building snowmen!
The skills and values I am going to learn are probably going to be to brush my hair without being reminded.
I will learn Skiing because it was my first time and I will learn not always being with my friend.

ReplyDeleteThe advantages of going to camp include being able to touch snow for the first time (if you haven't), have the experience of sleeping in a cabin with other friends and without your parents! We even get to miss some days of school! Lots of people won't know how to ski or snowboard so we will have lots of first time experiences.
ReplyDeleteWe will be able to show everyone that we are the best behaved school (While having snowball fights). Hopefully there will be no problems so we can get there safe and sound (before throwing ourselves off a mountain).
