One of the Maths Learning activities this week for Rāngi was to recreate a symbol or scene representing ANZAC Day using pixel art. Pixel Art is a form of digital art where individual blocks and colour are filled and used to create a larger image.
Here are some examples of our work:
ANZAC Day in 2020 is going to be very different because the country is in Lockdown. How is your family going to commemorate ANZAC Day tomorrow?
Cool ideas for this topic. They look really effective. Well done Rangi Maths class. It is great to see all the creativity happening throughout the syndicate. Maybe we could do a collective piece on a different topic. I will put my thinking cap on. Enjoy your Anzac Weekend and if you can wake up for the 6am stand and broadcast NZ together, go for it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting that task up for us Mrs Jones. I really enjoyed doing it. I really like the way you explained the pixel art. My family and I are going to stand outside our house and listen to the Anzac service on the radio. Are you going to do the same thing? I hope you have a lovely Anzac day tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blogpost, Mrs Jones. I hope to hear more of these marvelous posts. Blog you later💻🖥💻
Fabulous art inspired by Anzac Day and using interesting media to create it. I just used red and green paper from my craft box to make poppies for my window. I also made a wreath from plants in my garden to put out by my letterbox. I hope you managed to get up for the 6 am Stand Together. It was very different to going to our usual dawn parade at the museum but still a special time to remember all the old soldiers who fought to make our country safe.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work. Be kind to your whanau. Stay safe in your bubble.
From Mrs Mackenzie
What a creative way to produce art and do maths at the same time.
