Certificates and Thank You Bouquets!

Miss Daly awarded certificates to Brittany and Amara this
week.

Week three of this term was another short week, but lots of our students did awesome activities around Anzac Day commemorations as you can read about in a previous blog or on their individual blogs

Ms Sands awarded certificates to Marcus and Ruta this week.

Talking about individual blogs, we have encouraged all students to blog about their experiences in lockdown and their work they are doing. We want them to read each others blogs and write positive, thoughtful and helpful comments as well.

Mrs Jones has awarded certificates to Demitrius and Jaimie this week.

So to help encourage students we have been creating blogs on the Syndicate Site and asking lots of the staff to comment on the students  posts. We would like to award bouquets to two staff members this week, who have been commenting on MANY MANY students work with very detailed, positive and informative comments. We really appreciate their work.

On the couch commenting on blog posts!

    A HUGE THANK YOU
to ..............

It is fun to read their comments as well as the students posts! Anywhere is an office these days.

  1. Hi Te Waka Ako - what a lovely surprise, thank you so much. I love reading all of your blog posts, they are; 1) so informative - about how life is looking for you right now, 2) very interesting - to see what learning has been taking place away from normal school, and 3) they help us to all feel connected during this time where we can't be together.
Keep up the awesome work everyone. From me, a big 'Thank You' to your adults in Te Waka Ako who are providing you with stimulating learning tasks. Finally, massive congratulations to the students who were awarded certificates last week! I'm already looking forward to seeing who receives certificates at the end of this week!

  2. Wow - it's great to see so many students doing so well with online tasks during this time (and the senior teachers working so hard to make it all happen). It's not easy to do this at a time when we feel so far away from regular school life. I hope you are all staying safe and being kind to those inside your bubbles.

  3. Wow, what a wonderful surprise I got this morning, getting a wonderful bouquet of flowers. Thank you so much Te Waka Ako, you have made my day, actually you've made my week!
I have had so much fun, over the last four weeks, reading all your amazing blog posts. As I can't physically be at school and seeing all your happy faces, it's so lovely to be able to connect with all of you, by reading about, and seeing photos, of what you are all doing during this time of online distance learning.
To those of you who haven't put any posts up yet, I'd love to hear about your experiences during this time. It would be amazing if every Te Waka Ako student had a post on their blog!
Keep up the super fabulous work and I will see you when we are all back at school... which I think, and hope, is very soon.
